You can never have too many ribs! We’re excited to announce RIBFEST Fridays & Saturdays at our Castleton location (5899 E. 86th St.) and West 86th (5515 W. 86th St.)! Join us from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. on these two nights a week for $20 All-You-Can-Eat ribs and pulled pork (until we run out!), along with two classic sides and our famous fried biscuits with apple butter.

Squealers Award Winning Barbeque’s new Castleton location now open!

The best in Indiana barbeque has expanded to a key area of Indianapolis!

An Indiana treasure, Squealers Award Winning Barbeque has opened a third location in Indianapolis’ Castleton. The new location, at 5899 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, 46250, offers Squealers’ signature southern style barbeque recipes, classic side dishes, a selection of Indiana craft beers, and a variety of catering and carryout options within a family and fan-friendly atmosphere.

Since opening the first dine-in restaurant in Mooresville in 2001 followed by a second location at West 86th Street in Indianapolis in 2004, Squealers continues to be a staple in the Indiana barbeque scene. Weekly lunch specials, kids menus, senior specials and more offer something for everyone. A consistent favorite for authentic smoked barbeque, Squealers looks forward to continue bringing their signature sauces and award-winning pulled pork, ribs and brisket to the central Indiana masses as they expand to the new Castleton location.

“We feel the new Castleton restaurant is a great fit for our company and the Castleton area,” says Squealers Award Winning Barbeque owner Jeff Yater. “We look forward to serving our award-winning barbeque and letting our guests get a feel for what authentic barbeque should be.”

Enhancing their local impact, Squealers continues to partner with the not-for-profit Indiana Pork, which represents the state’s 3,000 family pork farmers through the pork check-off program. “We look forward to continuing to grow our long-term partnership with Squealers to build on their hugely successful competition seasons as well as our presence in their restaurants,” says Sarah Ford of Indiana Pork.

Additionally, Squealers exclusively uses Indiana Kitchen pork through a continued partnership with the Delphi-based pork processor Indiana Packers, which accounts for approximately 3 tons of smoked ribs and pork weekly between their two central Indiana stores. “With 85 percent of our hogs sourced from within the state of Indiana, Squealers’ patrons can know they’re supporting Indiana farmers and the more than 2,000 locally based employees at our plant in Delphi. This is a great continued partnership for us,” says Rob Kastens, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

No strangers to the barbeque competition circuit, Squealers consistently takes top honors in assorted national, world and Rib Fest events throughout the south, east and Midwest – while traveling in style with their branded, can’t-miss Squealers RV. In 2014, Squealers secured an award in the Top 10 at every event they entered, and having won hundreds of awards over the last decade (many of which are on display in-store), recent highlights include:

  • 2014 Grand Champion Overall – Big Buffalo Crossing BBQ Cook-Off, Munfordville, Ky.
  • 2014 Grand Champion Brisket – Madison Ribberfest, Madison, Ind.
  • 2014 Grand Champion Chicken – 8th Annual Ohio Veterans Cook-Off, Kettering, Ohio.
  • 2014 and 2013 People’s Choice Pork – Smoke on the Square, Franklin, Ind.
  • 2013 Winner – Indy A-List Best Hoosier Pork Tenderloin
  • 2013 Grand Champion Ribs – Madison Ribberfest, Madison, Ind.
  • 2013 Grand Champion Ribs – Smoke on the Square, Franklin, Ind.
  • 2012 Grand Champion Overall – Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour Stop, Canton, Ohio

Concluding their 2014 competition tour with a Grand Champion win in Munfordville, Ky., Squealers secured a spot at the prestigious 2015 American Royal Invitational in October.
